Arriving by cruise
Cruise ships dock right in the centre of Måløy. The town, shops and cafés are a short, flat walk from the pier — no shuttle needed. Our tours also start here, so you're never far from the ship.
Getting around on your own
Måløy is compact and easy to explore on foot. For the wider island of Vågsøy, pick the option that suits you:
- City train — a relaxed 45-minute loop past the church, Moldøen and the harbour
- E-bike rental — explore the coast at your own pace (free route guide included)
- On foot — the town centre, street art and viewpoints are within walking distance
- Taxi — available at the pier for trips further afield
Where to meet us
All guided tours meet at the Måløy Tours white kiosk on the cruise pier, a short walk from where your ship docks. Look for our sign — a guide will be there before departure.
Money & payment
Norway uses the Norwegian krone (NOK). Card and contactless payment are accepted almost everywhere, including on our tours and at cafés and shops. You rarely need cash.
Weather & what to wear
Coastal weather changes quickly, even in summer. Bring a windproof, water-resistant jacket and comfortable, non-slip shoes. Dress in layers — sunshine and sea spray can arrive in the same hour.
Facilities in town
Public toilets, ATMs, a pharmacy, grocery shops, cafés and restaurants are all within a few minutes' walk of the pier. Wi-Fi is widely available.
Accessibility
The town centre and pier are flat and largely step-free. Some tours involve short walks on natural, uneven ground; contact us before booking if you have specific access needs and we'll advise on the best options.
Booking & cancellation
Book online in a few clicks and get instant confirmation. Cancellation terms are shown on each tour before you pay. On cruise days we recommend booking ahead, as small-group tours fill up.
