How we use cookies and storage
Under the Norwegian Electronic Communications Act, storing information in your browser requires your consent unless it is strictly necessary. This site sets no tracking or marketing cookies. Non-necessary storage loads only after you consent.
Necessary
We store your cookie choice in your browser's local storage (key “maloy-consent-v1”) so we don't ask again on every visit. This is strictly necessary and needs no consent. No personal data is collected. Staff who log in to the admin area also receive session cookies from Supabase — these are strictly necessary for the login and are not set for ordinary visitors.
Functional — booking widget
The Bokun booking widget is a third-party embed used only at checkout. It loads only after you enable functional cookies, and may then set its own cookies to run the booking flow.
Analytics
We use Plausible for aggregate website statistics. It is cookieless, does not use fingerprinting and stores no personal data, so it runs without consent.
Embedded content
The YouTube video on the front page loads only when you click play, from youtube-nocookie.com; YouTube may then set its own cookies. The contact page shows a map from OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address when the map loads.
Withdrawing or changing your consent
Use the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of any page to change or withdraw your choice at any time — withdrawing is as easy as giving consent. Only functional cookies (the booking widget) require your consent.
