Step into a peaceful corner of Western Norway and enjoy an authentic countryside experience at the family-run Nordfjordhjort farm in Nave. Surrounded by lakes, forests, and mountains, the farm offers a relaxed atmosphere where nature, animals, and Norwegian hospitality come together.
The llamas are often the first to greet arriving guests. Gentle, curious, and friendly, they enjoy meeting visitors and are always ready for photos. Since llamas give birth throughout the year, some visitors may be lucky enough to see a newborn cria, creating a memorable and special moment.
In addition to llamas, the farm is home to deer, goats, sheep, and friendly dogs. Guests may have the opportunity to enter the deer enclosure and hand-feed them fresh leaves while learning about their natural life cycle. In early summer, deer fawns may be seen taking their first steps, offering a rare glimpse into Norwegian wildlife.
The visit is well suited for families. Children enjoy exploring the natural surroundings, splashing in the shallow stream, and taking fun photos with the farm’s antler photo board. Adults may also try axe throwing at the target area, offered at their own risk.
From the farm, guests can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding fjord landscape. Depending on arrangements, traditional Norwegian coffee may be brewed over an open fire, and Norwegian pancakes can be prepared when pre-ordered. In case of bad weather, guests can relax inside a cozy barbecue hut with warm blankets and comfortable seating.
Before leaving, visitors may browse the small farm shop, which offers handmade souvenirs crafted from real deer antlers. These items make a unique and authentic keepsake from the visit.
This tour is ideal for families, animal lovers, and travelers seeking a calm and genuine farm experience in scenic Norwegian surroundings.
