Refviksanden
Why visit?
• Use Refviksanden as the “beautiful beach” anchor in the Måløy places hub.
• It is visually strong for cruise passengers: quick to understand, easy to photograph and very different from the harbour/town experience.
• Good fit for tours that combine Kannesteinen, Refvik and Kråkenes.
Refviksanden is often described as one of Norway’s finest swimming beaches, with a long stretch of pale sand facing the open coast. It works especially well as a contrast to the rock formations and lighthouse stops elsewhere on Vågsøy.
Practical information
• Located at Refvik, roughly 10 km from Måløy town centre.
• Allow extra time on windy days; the open beach can feel exposed.
• Facilities may be seasonal; check toilet/shower/camping availability before promising specific services.
• Use caution near the water in rough weather.
